Freedom From Debt
We live in a culture that embraces debt as a way of life. Wracking up credit card balances or second mortgages is acceptable if you can make the minimum payments. But the Bible is clear that debt is bondage (Proverb 22:7). Being financially strong starts with minimizing your debts. Make choices that enable you to pay off all debts—even the mortgage. You will never regret it.
Freedom In Christ
I became a Christian shortly after becoming a mom. Though always a church attender, God used my new-found love for my child and the perils of parenting to draw me closer to Him. As a believer, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, I have found freedom from the grasp of sin. Though very much a sinner still, I am no longer controlled by my sin. God’s word can be transforming and renewing in difficult situations and in daily living. Helping your kids find a personal relationship with Jesus Christ will be the single-most important thing that you do. Giving them the gift of a Biblical world view will impact their lives forever.
Freedom From the Lies of Culture
We live in a culture that says that buying kids stuff makes them happy, staying busy makes you a great parent, splitting chores with your spouse 50-50 will leave you joyfully married, and there are no inherent differences between boys and girls. There are hundreds more than these, and I love to look at the voice of culture in light of the Word of God.
Freedom In Parenting with Confidence
So many new parents, and seasoned parents for that matter, struggle to feel confident in their parenting. There is a fear that somehow we will “mess up our kids.” I love to share wisdom that I have learned over the years from mentors as well as from Biblical principles. Some kids are more challenging than others. This is often a result of their unique design by God but at age 3 it can be a little tough to take. Threats and bribes don’t work. Mom and Dad must be in charge at home. Giving parents tools to help them enjoy their children despite also needing to be the parent, is my passion.
